All of our Lacquers and pigmented polyols contain an antibacterial agent which provides a very high level of protection against bacteria.
Our Antibacterial agent has the following advantages:
Shown to be effective against all gram positive and gram negative bacteria it has been tested against. This includes antibiotic resistant strains i.e. Methacillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus and many more.
Within our coating , the antibacterial agent is immobile and has very low water solubility. This means that when parts are subject to wear the Antimicrobial properties will remain so long as there is a coating left on the product constituents of our Antibacterial agents have been used for many years in the cosmetics industry and are supported under BPD and HSE
Our Antibacterial agents are free of silver and comply with all existing legislation.
Repeated washing and cleaning of the in mould painted surface (using non oxidising agents such as mild detergents and water) over long periods of time does not impact on the long term efficiency of our Antibacterial Agents
